June 6th 2010 was Her Ethic four year anniversary, and we celebrate this by giving you the first two songs we did, even before the pre-hE era called Zoroaster. We re-recorded the songs a couple of years ago, but never released them. So here they are. For free. Of course.

As some of you may know, we've finished a new Her Ethic album, called Spoiler Warning: YOU DIE. It's available for free from Bandcamp (320 kbit mp3), Jamendo (256 kbit mp3) and last.fm (128 kbit mp3).
Her Ethic track "Mydriasis" (also available from Bandcamp, Jamendo and last.fm, on the ROADKILL EP) was recently featured on Brad Miller's legendary music blog Because God Told Me To Do It, on a compilation featuring Norwegian underground music. You can find the compilation here. The compilation also includes Gird_09, Pogrom Synod, Batcheeba, Continental Fruit, Andreas Brandal, Hipp Priest, Epilektrician, and Gyron V.

adrenocandy is active again as well. I've tried a lot of different things for the new sound, only to realise that adrenocandy is supposed to sound the way it already does. So there won't be many surprises, but it'll be good.

Furthermore, I'm doing remixes for Loveplanet and Wolfendorn. I'm also working with Carpathian Forest-singer Roger Nattefrost Rasmussen, on what will be an ridiculously old school black metal-project.

Working with Kidz on Fuzz

This summer we're recording the first Kidz on Fuzz EP. We're done with one track, waiting for vocals on three, and haven't yet started on the last two. It's basically Thomas (their guitarist) and myself here in the lab, while Sondre is in Telemark, doing the singing.
The Kidz started out as a kind of feelgood electroclash/synth-pop act, but have in many ways evolved into something very different. The lo-fi drums and the monotone basslines are still there, but on top of that, there are pounding guitar-loops, psy-esque synthesizers, unconventional song structures, and hi-pitched, "spooky-whiny" vocals. It's certainly darker and more aggressive than the Kidz on Fuzz most their fans have gotten used to, leaning more towards deathrock than electroclash. We're stealing some tricks from Meshuggah in order to make it as intense as possible.

Anyhow, I promised Sondre it wouldn't end up sounding too industrial, so instead I made a remix of the first finished song, called "Forest Fire," and it's located HERE. You right click and save target as something utterly nekro.
